Casa Magnolia was one of the projects we completed in 2006. The owners of the property bought land with an existing ruin on it and wanted to incorporate the old dwelling into the new house, in particular making the original fireplace and alcoves the focal point of the ground floor. The result is an interesting fusion of old and new, and it is now a very striking home.
As you can see, on the left of the photo, the original supporting wall of the old casita has been incorporated into the new ground floor. All properties have damp-proof courses, as shown to the right of the picture.
